Meet The Doctor At Ascent Eye Care in Franklin

Dr. Tyler Ross Boone, the owner and founder of Ascent Eye Care & Eyewear Gallery, is a licensed therapeutic optometrist in Tennessee and Alabama. Dr. Boone is a native middle Tennessean having been raised from birth in Clarksville.

Dr. Boone graduated magna cum laude from Union University in 2012 and summa cum laude from Southern College of Optometry in 2017. Between undergraduate studies and optometry school, he attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for two semesters.

In 2020, Dr. Boone and his wife, Jillian, founded Ascent Eye Care to serve the Franklin community with eye care and eyewear tailored for the individual. He has certifications in dry eye procedures, specialty contact lenses, and myopia management including but not limited to OptiLight, OptiPlus, TearCare, scleral lenses, Synergeyes hybrid lenses, CRT lenses (orthokeratology), and MiSight.

Outside the office, Dr. Boone and his wife have two sons, Collier and Callen. They are active members at Brentwood Baptist Church, and they invite you to join them! Dr. Boone and Jillian enjoy traveling, experiencing culture through local cuisine, and rooting for their favorite college football teams in a house divided. Dr. Boone is an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan, and Jillian is an alumna of The University of Alabama.

A fun fact about Dr. Boone is that his ancestors settled in the area while it was still a part of colonial North Carolina making Dr. Boone the 11th generation of his family to live in the Middle Tennessee area. Some famous relatives include Daniel Boone and William Wallace!

Dr. Alexandria Heibel is a licensed therapeutic optometrist in Tennessee. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, she earned her bachelor's degree in Biology from The Ohio State University before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.

During optometry school, Dr. Heibel received extensive training in comprehensive eye care and developed special interests in pediatric eye care, binocular vision, and neuro-optometric conditions. She believes one of the most important parts of eye care is helping patients understand not only their diagnosis, but also why it matters. Whether she's explaining a new diagnosis or helping a patient find the right visual solution for work, hobbies, or everyday life, she enjoys making eye care approachable and personalized.

After enjoying several years in Chicago, Dr. Heibel and her husband, Peyton, recently made Middle Tennessee home to be closer to family. They live in Columbia with their daughter, Ruby, and their two cats. Outside the office, Dr. Heibel enjoys running, taking walks with her daughter, and visiting local vineyards with friends and family.

A fun fact about Dr. Heibel is that she loves answering vision-related questions from patients of all ages. Whether it's "Why is the sky blue?", "Are dogs really color blind?", or “Why are carrots good for our eyes?”, she enjoys satisfying curious minds just as much as helping patients see their best.
